A thinner version of Ocun's well known Crack Gloves, for protecting your hands when hand jamming, giving "maximum sensitivity and friction".

The shape of the gloves has been improved over the standard Crack Gloves to offer greater comfort and better hand protection. The rubber now conceals the quick Velcro closure, preventing the gloves unfastening during sustained crack climbs. They fix firmly in place with a system of clever velcro straps and are perfectly comfortable to wear.

They work well, particularly on on gritstone and granite cracks and will save taping up, and in our experience can knock a grade off an especially gnarly jamming crack!

  • Anatomic shape.
  • Made from microfibre stretch suede and highly sensitive adhesive rubber for maximum friction.
  • Quick closure system.

Material: 60% Polyamide, 30% Synthetic rubber, 10% Polyester.

Weight: c 57g/pair.

Measure circumference around the hand at its widest point just above the thumb and just below the fingers. They are small for their size compared to normal glove sizes - most people need a size larger that their normal glove size.

Q. Are they cheating?

A. Well we don't see that they are much different from taping up, common practice in the States, especially at places like Yosemite. They certainly make jamming easier, especially cracks that are wider than your hands, ones with teeth or flared ones (where the rubber really comes in to play), but then so do rock shoes and chalk, not to mention having a runner overhead and an alert belayer - are these things cheating too? A good subject for on-going and endless discussion on UKC!!
