Revo Ascent Snowshoes are designed for slightly more general use than the Lightning Ascents but are still good for technical terrain when required. The major difference is that the metal frame is not continuous and is connected by a moulded plastic deck rather than the stretched rubberised base of the Lightning Ascents. This is a cheaper and slightly heavier construction but other than that has the same features that make the Lightning Ascent such a good snowshoe.
They now feature the advanced Paragon™ binding: designed to wrap securely around your boot without pressure points, the binding's mesh strap ensures maximum foot control with truly uncompromised comfort. The ExoTract™ (plastic) deck combines external steel teeth for gripping the contours of any slope, with durability and torsional flex for excellent purchase, use, while "Ergo™ Televators" heel lifts save wear and tear on the calf muscles on steep slopes. The snowshoe’s reinforced nose is designed to withstand kicking steps on ascents through any conditions.
Although the Men's and Women's are the same width at the front, the Women's version tapers to around 1cm narrower.
Two lengths are available: 22" or 56cm and 25" or 64cm. In addition, Flotation Tails are available as an add on product and can be useful in deep powder conditions. In 2020 they retailed at £45/pair including VAT. Please email us if you want a pair of these and we'll check availability.
