A weight saving handled ice screw that is easy to place due to its ergonomic aluminium hanger and optimised tooth shape. The major (in fact the only) change between this and the previous version is that the new model has three teeth rather than four which is said to improve the bite and so make them easier to place. The hanger is made as small as possible to facilitate screwing into sculpted ice. Strength and durability are also good due to the steel tube, which is treated to reduce weight and increase strength, and specific threading.
