Blue Ice Harfang crampons are the lightest and most compact crampons on the market and are designed for ski touring and classic mountaineering. With chromoly steel front points and aluminium secondary and rear points, they give a good balance between performance, weight and compactness. The patented concept is based on a central textile strap that connects the front and back point sections and allow it to be fitted in the most suitable position based on the intended use and/or the shape of the boots.
Using a flexible strap linking system minimizes bulk and provides real compactness, while still giving remarkable precision and comfort compared to existing solutions. The heel pivot is equipped with a micro adjustment dial to fine tune the crampon fit on the boot.
The Harfang is a full step-in crampon, which adapts to all ski touring boots featuring a toe welt, as well as mountaineering boots with a rigid sole and toe welt. They are supplied in a bag which can be attached to a harness or rucksack if required, so you have your crampons close at hand without clutter, as they are so compact. And in the rucksack, they take up a minimum of space ...But it is on your feet that they work the best!
