Very light quickdraws using Finesse Dyneema extenders (in 10cm and 17cm lengths) and Petzl's innovative Ange karabiners (in two sizes) with their "MonoFil Keylock system" (or a single strand wire gate to you and me). This gives a very light krab which does away with the possibility of clipping the nose of one krab through the wiregate of another (a very awkward thing to untangle one handed!). The shape of the nose is designed to optimise clipping and unclipping and, due to the keylock gate, there is nothing for anything to catch on. A small indent on the bottom of the Ange Karabiner helps keep the Petzl "String" (the rubber bit on the extender) in place so that the quickdraw sling is properly positioned on the krab. The surfaces that come in contact with the rope and with the anchor are wider, making the passage of the rope smoother and reducing karabiner wear. The nose of the carabiner has a hole that allows ice, snow or dirt to be cleared out.
Ideal for alpine mountaineering and multi-pitch climbing where weight reduction is paramount.
- Ultra-lightweight and durable quickdraw with a MonoFil gate.
- Lightweight and compact Finesse quickdraw sling. The ergonomic shape makes it easier to grab.
- Size and strength/weight ratio of the karabiner are optimised, thanks to its specific profile and the H-shaped cross-section.
- The MonoFil Keylock gate ensures smoother opening and closing of the karabiner and a much longer lifetime compared to traditional wiregate karabiners.
- The deflector works with the shape of the karabiner to promote proper positioning of the karabiner on the major axis, and helps with clipping.
- The String quickdraw sling protector helps maintain the proper orientation of the karabiner and protect the karabiner attachment loop from wear.
- The tabs on the bottom of the karabiner help keep the String in place to better align the quickdraw sling along its major axis.
Available in four versions.
