Beautifully constructed women's harness with buckled leg loops for fine tuning the size and/or enabling it to be donned quickly when wearing crampons.
Seven gear loops on the Medium (five on the XS and S) for a full "British" rack plus your belay plate etc at the back, plus DMM's rubber slots on the side where karabiners can be inserted for ice-screw and peg racking (these are completely unobtrusive so do not hinder the harness's use for rock climbing). The gear racking system has been tweaked so that it will work better with both winter and summer racks. The front gear loops on either side have had their orientation shifted to reduce bunching; this is particularly helpful on slabby ground or in constricted positions.
The Hypalon ice clipper attachment points have been modified so that you can use two of the clipper points without interfering with the standard gear loops. The harness can hold up to four ice clippers “ more than enough racking space for the longest ice pitches!
The adjustable leg loops have been fitted with Slide Lock buckles “ these allow a large range of fit, but are also easy to adjust. This means you will be able to put your harness on after you've donned crampons without the usual awkward, frozen-fingered struggle. Another important design feature is the buckle shape which now has rounded off the corners and a low profile “ this makes them less likely to snag in constricted situations. Spare webbing tails are also kept neatly out of the way with elastic retainers.
Two quick release buckles at the back mean the leg loops can be dropped down if the sight of your big lead necessitates an urgent call of nature.
