The original camming devices, as invented by Ray Jardine way back when, but now with a massive make over.
Pick them up and you will notice immediately how light they are, then you'll notice how good the action is, next you'll notice the comfortable wire thumb loop, and finally you'll notice the double axles! What's this?! Friendalots?!!
However, these "New Friends" still retain their 13.75º constant cam angle which is reckoned to provide the best grip on the rock.
The weight saving is achieved in part by using hollow axles (Patent Pending) which are actually stiffer for less weight, wider, milled cam lobes grip better yet are kinder on the rock, forged cams, and the double 12mm Dyneema sling is flexible, light and easily extended, saving time and the weight of having to use a quickdraw on each placement.
There is a good overlap between units and the twin axle design means that the range per unit is increased.
An excellent camming unit from the inventors of the camming unit!
