High Mountain Gear Ice Hammock

The High Mountain Gear Ice hammock is made from UHMWPE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene - very strong!) webbing and 0.8oz (22.68g) Dyneema, with reinforced corners. It is intended for use on steep ice/snow as a means to create a snow ledge upon which a tent can be pitched.

Developed in conjunction with several alpinists, this ultra light hammock can mean the difference between a standing, shiveringly cold and miserable bivi or a cushy nights sleep on a good ledge.

The ultra-specific stitching pattern yields the strongest connections possible. Even the logo is glued onto the hammock instead of sewing it on to maintain strength.

NB This product should only be bough by experienced mountaineers who have a genuine use for it and understand its limitations. It is not a trivial product, and its usage requires the utmost attention to safety and detail as well as meticulous inspections.
