DVD showing the essential skills and techniques for hill walking - it follows two walkers on days out in the British mountains and shows them preparing for the walks and the challenges they face and the decisions they make. The film has been shot on location in the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands and also includes a series of technical chapters providing comprehensive information on navigation, mountain rescue, scrambling, clothing & equipment, leadership awards, weather plus much more.
The film follows two walkers, Frederlina and Ben, as they plan their days and follow their walks. We see the challenges they face and the decisions they make.
In addition to the film, the technical chapters include: Navigation, Scrambling, Weather, River Crossings, Mountain Rescue, Ticks and Hazards.
