Westernmost of the Eastern Alps, the Silvretta straddle the Austrian-Swiss border and offer easy alpine peaks and walks. The highest peaks are Piz Linard (3410m) and the Fluchthorn (3398m) but the most famous is Piz Buin (3312m).
This guide gives a selection of walks and easier mountaineering routes.
The guide has some good monochrome photodiagrams and line diagrams. The information is comprehensive but presented as a series of notes so a map and ability to put together your own itinerary from the facts provided is useful. The climbing descriptions are mainly of routes of F and below with a few of PD and AD, but all the major peaks and many others are described.
