An inspiring climbing guide to the Valle dell'Orco in the Grand Paradiso area of Northern Italy.
The guide describes crags found in the lower valley as well as the famous Caporal and Sargent walls, including the Soana valley, with Vallone di Forze and the lateral valley of Piantonett, as far as the edge of Lake Teleccio.
If you like granite cracks and slabs this is the place to head for! Fabulous trad and bolted climbing abounds. Also (and surprisingly) quite a lot of reasonably easy aid climbing, much of it single pitch. Most of the climbing is in the harder grades and, although there are quite a few easier routes, you will really need to be leading around F6b/6c and above to get the most out of this guide.
