Romania is one of the most developed sport climbing destinations in the Balkans and it certainly looks to be an interesting holiday destination as well. This selected guide covers a large area and is well illustrated with colour photos and line diagrams. The grades tend to the harder side though there are enough 5s and 6s for lower grade climbers around if you pick your crags.
Covers Vadul Crişului, Cetatea Lita, Munţii Trascăului, Munţii Metaliferi, Baia Mare, Rarau, Cheile Bicazului, Braşov/Kronstadt, Bucegi, Piatra Craiului/Königstein, Buila Vânturăriţa, Sohodol, Băile Herculane/Herkulesbad, Dobrogeda (Dobrudscha) and a section on other areas.
